Eden Valley
For many years our chardonnay and pinot noir grapes were sold to a leading winery as a single vineyard for the production of a very successful sparkling wine. In 2016 we decided that we should produce our own ‘bubbles’ which we called “Hare n Roo”. Why? Hares and kangaroos live in harmony together in our vineyards just as our chardonnay and pinot noir combine together to give a very high quality sparkling wine.
Tasting Notes
This Sparkling wine is made from premium, single vineyard grapes grown in the cool climate of Eden Valley. The vines are hand pruned and the grapes hand-picked.
It has a beautiful bead and a delightful colour, with a very slight pinkish hue. The aromas of apple and strawberry with a hint of yeast autolysis are very appealing.
The palate is crisp, yeasty and very tasty with elegant strawberry and cherry flavours, leading to a refreshing finish.
