Tasting Notes
The name Maximus, refers to the quality of the wine resulting from the intensity of effort put into all aspects of its production. The Maximus is only produced in exceptional years when all aspects of making this wine come together.
This wine is made from premium single vineyard grapes grown in the cool climate of Eden Valley. The vines are hand pruned and the grapes hand-picked. It has deep, brooding, inky colour with rich, complex aromas of plums and fine grained vanillin oak. The palate is big and richly flavoured, beautifully rounded and has a lingering, tight, dry, gorgeous finish, which leaves the palate asking for more.
